Mary M. McComsey, 77, of Kennett Square, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at the Pocopson Home.
She was the wife of Robert E. McComsey, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage.
Born in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Paul Joseph and Bridget Theresa Myers.
She was a supervisor of the steno pool at the DuPont Co. in Wilmington, Del., retiring in 1985, after 30 years of service.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Kennett Square, the Kennett Area Senior Center, the Kennett Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and she volunteered at the HIS Mission in Kennett Square.
She was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, and was a past president of the Chester County chapter.
She enjoyed reading and her trips to Ireland.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert B. McComsey and his wife, Leah, of Oxford, and David M. McComsey and his wife, Sara Renzulli, of Fair Hill, Md.; four grandchildren; and one brother, Paul Myers of Florida.
Services and burial will be private.
